As 2020 draws to an end, I’m hoping this newsletter finds you all in good health and good cheer.
Despite the extra challenges COVID-19 brought, the golf course saw a lot of positivity this season. Even though tournaments were down this year, the golf course remained busy! We saw more play than previous years. It seems golf provided a good escape from solitude for many. Rolling Oaks looks forward to again providing a fun tournament venue for fundraising in the community in 2021.
The biggest project the course has taken on in a long time was the reconstruction of #16 green. This project had a slow start but once it got underway the green took shape very nicely. The grow- in was challenging but came out looking great! We all want to play this green as soon as possible and we plan to be playing it in early spring. A huge THANK YOU to all who volunteered their time to this massive undertaking.
Two years later, we are still managing storm cleanup. Thank you to everyone who participated in the volunteer clean up. Because of the great effort put in by staff and members, we were able to clear out storm debris along #2 cart path and the cart path from #6 green to #7 tee box. As well as clearing brush and other debris from around the course. We were also able to have the stump grinding done before winter was upon us!
You can find the 2021 Membership form at the bottom of this page or under the “Membership” tab on the website. Please scroll to the bottom of the page and click on the tab that says “Membership Form”. Print this form off and send it the course. If your membership form is filled out and returned before February 15th members will receive a discount this year. We are offering a 10% discount across all memberships and annual rentals! Pre-Buy Memberships help Rolling Oaks through the winter months. If you are able to purchase a Pre-Buy Membership, please do so.
Thank you from the entire Clubhouse and Grounds Crew staff for a great season!
We look forward to seeing everyone back for the 2021 season. Hope this finds everyone well and in good spirits. Happy Holidays!
